Landscape Management

Environmental Ethos has a comprehensive understanding of landscape management issues enabling us to provide clients with effective management and monitoring solutions that promote sustainable outcomes and streamline permitting and regulatory compliance requirements.

Landscapes where industrial activity (oil and gas, mining, forestry, etc.) play an important role, demand the consideration of a range of environmental, social and economic values. Environmental Ethos has worked with multidisciplinary teams in an integrated manner to balance conservation and development imperatives to facilitate more sustainable landscape management solutions. Our work has often developed from the masterplanning and construction stages of projects to include on-going management and performance against key sustainability indicators.

We also have experience in preparing guidelines and manuals for land managers whose key focus may be a particular resource, but whose responsibility encompass wider land management issues. Such work has included Dam Managers who have to consider whole of catchment management issues, and Mine Site Managers who hold responsibility for large landscape buffer areas.
